| Debbie Hughey, President
WEBCO was founded by Debbie Hughey. Debbie
began her insurance career with Hartford Insurance Company as a group
sales representative. While at the Hartford she worked directly with employers to assist with employee benefit planning.
Those experiences have enhanced her ability to communicate benefit
programs to employers as well as employees.
Debbie aspired to build an agency dedicated to service and industry knowledge.
WEBCO was formed in 1984 because of Debbie's strong awareness of the client's
need for a liaison between their company and the insurance carrier, to
ensure quality customer service, and financial justification.
The emphasis on service can never be overstated. "If a client calls
with a problem, be it a claims issue or billing question, you have two
options," says Debbie, "one, you can give them an 800 number
to call for customer service and hope they get helped, or two, you can
roll up your sleeves and go to work for your client getting the problem
solved. Our experience has been that the later method goes a lot farther
in developing client trust and loyalty."
